Gang robs Limavady shop manager

A supermarket manager has been forced to hand over a substantial amount of money following a robbery in Limavady.

The man was stopped on the Barnault Road by four men in a black BMW car at 2130 BST on Saturday night, as he drove to work.

Police said he was threatened, ordered to empty a safe, and then told to drive to Buncrana in County Donegal to hand over the money to the thieves.

A 41-year-old man was later arrested and a large sum of money recovered.

The manager was shaken but unhurt following his ordeal.
