Man to stand trial for Derry hit-and-run

A 23-year-old man from Londonderry is to stand trial on a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
Jonathan Francis McGonigle, from Moyola Drive in Shantallow, is charged with causing the death of Martin Gallagher at Racecourse Road on 1 November 2009.
Mr Gallagher, from Sandale Park in Derry, was hit by a car outside the home of one of his best friends.
Mr McGonigle was released on bail to appear before Londonderry Crown Court on 9 September.
He also faces two further charges of dangerous driving, one at Duncreggan Road and the other at Buncrana Road on 1 November.
