A pipe bomb has been found at a house in Antrim.
It was discovered on the window-sill of the house at Fir Grove Lane, a residential cul-de-sac in the town, at about 0715 BST on Wednesday.
It is understood a young couple with children live in the house. A number of homes were evacuated while army bomb disposal experts examined the device.
The alert lasted almost five hours while the device was made safe.
Alliance Antrim Councillor Neil Kelly said it was an attack on the whole community.
"I am sickened and disgusted by these people who are intent on causing death, injury and disruption," he said.
