Third man charged after stabbing

A third man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the head in west Belfast.

The man, 28, has also been charged with false imprisonment and is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Police said an 18-year-old man had also been arrested in connection with Thursday's attack outside a flat on Lenadoon Avenue.

On Friday, two men appeared at court in Belfast charged with attempted murder.

Malachy Keenan, 44, of Colinmill, Dunmurry, and John Carville, 39, from Brooke Close, Belfast, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court.

Mr Carville faced a second charge of possessing a knife in a public place.

Neither of the accused applied for bail.

They were both remanded in custody to appear again by video-link next week.
