Portglenone crash victim, Gary Grieves, was policeman

A man who died in a road traffic collision on Saturday was a serving PSNI officer from County Londonderry.

Gary Grieves, 46, from the Glenshane Road area of Claudy, died after his motorbike collided with a car near Portglenone, County Antrim.

The driver and a passenger were taken to hospital following the accident on Mayogall Road.

It is understood Mr Grieves was based at the PSNI station in Portglenone.
