A 28-year-old man is to appear in court charged with attempted murder following an incident during rioting in north Belfast over the Twelfth.

The charges are believed to be connected to an incident where a concrete block was dropped on a policewoman in the Ardoyne area.

The man will also face a charge of riotous assembly when he appears before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday.

An Orange march through Ardoyne was followed by three nights of rioting.
