A teenager who stole three laptops was told to return them by paramilitaries, a Belfast court was told.
A solicitor said that after the burglary, "under the auspices of a paramilitary organisation", three laptop computers were returned.
Brendan McKee, 18, of Hydebank Wood, Young Offenders' Centre, has been charged with burglary and attempted burglary on 7 and 8 September.
The court heard Mr McKee had confessed to the offences. Bail was refused.
At Belfast Magistrates Court on Saturday, he was remanded in custody until 5 November.
