Gunman threatens bookie's staff in west Belfast

Staff at a bookmakers' shop in west Belfast have been threatened by a masked gunman during a robbery on Friday night.

The robber went into the premises on the Grosvenor Road at about 2020 BST and pointed the gun at two members of staff.

He forced them to hand over cash before escaping on foot up the Grosvenor Road.

Three customers were in the shop at the time and police have appealed for them to get in contact with them.

The robber was described as being about 5ft 5ins tall of medium build and was wearing blue jeans and a black zipped-up jacket.
