Suspected pipe bomb recovered in north Belfast alert

Police have said that a suspected pipe bomb has been recovered in a security operation in north Belfast.

It was found at a grassy area close to Finlay Park off the Shore Road.

The M2 was closed for a period while army technical experts examined the object.

A number of homes were evacuated while the security operation was ongoing.
