Nine injured in car crash in west Belfast

Nine people have been injured after a car being followed by police in west Belfast collided with a taxi.

None of those hurt in the crash are thought to have life-threatening injuries.

It is understood the car was being followed by police when it was in collision with the taxi on the Andersonstown Road.

Two men aged 21 and 27 have been arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences.

Police said that the Andersontown Road, which had been closed earlier because of the incident, has been reopened to traffic.
