Man arrested over Belfast shooting
Police are questioning a 27-year-old man over the shooting of a man in north Belfast earlier this month.
It follows the arrest of a 32-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with an attack in the north of the city.
Dissident republicans have been blamed for the shootings in which victims have been shot in in the legs.
On Wednesday, a senior police officer appealed for anyone with information about the attacks to contact the PSNI.
"There are people in the community who know who carried out these brutal crimes and I would urge them in the strongest terms to come forward," Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little said.
"The PSNI is the only legitimate police force in Northern Ireland, it exists to uphold and enforce the law on behalf of the community."
