Man threatened with knife in Belfast city centre


A 50-year-old man has been threatened with a knife in an attempted robbery in Belfast city centre.

The man was walking along Donegall Square North at 0745 GMT when he was approached by a man who asked him for money.

The 50-year-old explained he had no change, but the other man threatened him and produced a knife.

When challenged by the victim, the assailant ran off in the direction of Fountain Street.
