A man who had sex with a 14-year-old schoolgirl has been jailed for 18 months and ordered to remain on licence for a further three years.
Belfast Crown Court was told Anthony Kelly, 26, committed the offence the day he completed a probation order for attacking a former partner.
Kelly, from West Link in Holywood, originally denied having sex with the girl, before pleading guilty.
He will now remain on the police sex offenders register for life.
Belfast Crown Court was told Kelly was drinking with his girlfriend outside the derelict Bangor Academy school when he met the 14-year-old on 23 March last year.
Prosecuting lawyer David McDowell told the court Kelly invited the girl into the school and had sex with her there while his girlfriend stood outside.
However she was worried the pair had been inside for so long and flagged down a passing police car and they arrested Kelly.
Judge Patricia Smyth said it was clear the teenager had consented to sex but that reports and previous criminal record indicated to her that Kelly was a danger to the public.
