Man and woman killed in County Louth car crash

A man and a woman in their 20s have died in a car crash in the Republic of Ireland.

They were travelling in a car which hit a fence on the M1 motorway near Milltown, County Louth.

The accident happened at about 0430GMT.

No other people were involved in the collision. The road has been closed off.

Irish police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
