Police are investigating a burglary at a church in south Belfast.

Several computers, televisions and money were stolen in the overnight attack at the Ulster Temple Elim Church on Ravenhill Road.

South Belfast DUP MLA and Policing Board member Jimmy Spratt condemned the burglary.

"All churches, regardless of denomination, are places of worship and they should never be attacked in this way," Mr Spratt said.

"I visited the scene this morning and am heartened that so many people have offered their help and support and that the church will be back open again tomorrow."
