SDLP denies funding NI opposition talks

The SDLP has denied a claim by the Deputy First Minister that they have been talking to the government about funding an opposition at Stormont.

Martin McGuinness told the BBC that both the Ulster Unionists and the SDLP had been exploring the option.

He called it a "gross interference" in the Good Friday Agreement.

However, the SDLP has accused Mr McGuinness of flying a kite without any evidence to back his claim.
