Oscar nod for Irish actress
Tudors' star Sarah Bolger is to be honoured at a prestigious Los Angeles event celebrating Irish cinema talent.
The 19-year-old from Dublin will be presented with the "Wilde Card" accolade at the Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film ceremony on Thursday.
The award was inaugurated last year to honor rising talent in the film industry, with Carlow-born actress Saoirse Ronan, picking up the honour.
The invite-only party takes place just three days ahead of this year's Oscar ceremony.
Director Jim Sheridan worked with Sarah Bolger on the Irish movie, In America, and said he believes she deserves the coveted trophy.
"She was already a great actress when she was 12 and she has only got better," he added.
"I am mad to work with her again before she wins an Oscar."
