Twenty-two people have appeared in Belfast Crown Court over the riots in Ardoyne last July.

Out of the group - which included a number of teenagers - half of them pleaded guilty and six had their cases adjourned until later.

Four defendants did not turn up to court.

A total of nine charges were brought, ranging from riotous assembly to causing grievous bodily harm to a policewoman.
