Three arrests over south Belfast tanning salon robbery

Three men have been arrested by police after a robbery at a tanning salon in south Belfast.

Two men, one of them carrying a hammer, went into the shop on the Ormeau Road just before 2020 BST on Wednesday.

They made off on foot with a sum of money.

Police said one man had been released on bail. The other two are still being questioned. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Meanwhile, police have now arrested seven men in connection with an armed robbery in Jordanstown on Wednesday afternoon. It took place in a convenience store on Circular Road at 1300 BST.
