Four people have been rescued from a NI-based fishing boat following a collision with a cargo ship off the Isle of Man coast.
The crew of the 17m Lynn-Marie sent out a mayday signal after their boat collided with a 155m freighter four miles from the shore.
Three fishing vessels, lifeboats from Port St Mary and Port Erin and a customs vessel went to help.
The crew are reported to be uninjured and safely back on shore.
Sue Daintith from Liverpool Coastguard Station said an investigation into the accident has now been launched by the Isle of Man authorities.
"We placed four pumps on board and they were used to keep the vessel afloat while she was towed into harbour at Port St Mary," she said.
"We have no firm confirmation as to how the incident occurred."
