Man suffers cuts and bruises in west Belfast assault

An 18-year-old man has been treated in hospital after he was assaulted by a gang in west Belfast.
It happened in a laneway between Lenadoon Avenue and Naroon Park shortly before midnight on Friday
The man required seven stitches for a cut to his cheek, five stitches for a cut to his forehead, a bite mark to his ear and bruising to his arms and legs.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
His attackers are described as being in their 20s.
