NI woman Christine Cherry dies in Australia crash


A woman from Northern Ireland has died in a car accident in Australia.

Lorraine Christine Cherry, who was in her 20s and from Bangor, died in the accident in Queensland, in the north of the country on Sunday.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said: "We can confirm the death of a British national on 29 May in Northern Australia.

"Consular officials are providing the family with consular assistance and are liaising with the local authorities."
