Ireland's IMF/EU bailout review begins

A review of how well the Republic of Ireland is sticking to the terms of the IMF/EU bail-out is to begin later.

The latest exchequer returns published this week show Ireland's economy is broadly on track to meet the targets set by the rescue bodies.

The bail-out team will spend just over a week discussing future actions.

These are likely to include further spending cuts and reductions in the public sector wage bill.
