Man, 30, charged over stabbing in Bangor

A 30-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a knife attack in Bangor.

A 25-year-old man was stabbed several times during the assault in Breezemount Grove at about 0900 BST on Sunday.

Police said that the victim's condition was serious, but not life-threatening.

The suspect is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A man and two women, who were also arrested, were released unconditionally.

Meanwhile, detectives in Bangor have arrested a 20-year-old man after a separate knife attack in Dixon Park.

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the back and taken to hospital following the incident at 05:45 BST on Sunday. His injuries are not life threatening.
