The jury hearing the case of a 45-year-old County Armagh man accused of murdering his wife have been sent home to consider their verdict.

Christopher Harper, of Abercorn Park, denies murdering his wife Suzanne at their Portadown home.

Judge Kevin Finnegan QC told the jury at Craigavon Crown Court, sitting in Armagh, that it was best if they began their deliberations fresh on Friday.

Mrs Harper died from a single stab wound to the neck in August 2010.

She also had several defence wounds to her arm.
