Tyrone firm McCloskey International fined £35k over injury

A Tyrone company has been fined a total of £35,000 after an employee suffered head injuries at work last year.

McCloskey International, an engineering firm based in Coalisland, was also ordered to pay costs.

The employee was hit on the side of the head by a piece of metal which flew out of the machine he was using to bend it.

Dungannon Crown Court was told the employee had returned to work on a part-time basis and has made a reasonably good recovery.
