A petrol bomb has been thrown at a flat off the Shore Road in Newtownabbey.

It happened at about 23:30 GMT on Sunday at Whitehouse Court. Some minor damage was caused to the window and blinds of the first-floor flat.

There were no reports of any injuries. Police are investigating a possible link to an assault at the same complex earlier on Sunday.

A 47-year-old man suffered injuries to his face and a possible broken jaw. It was reported to police at 06:00 GMT.

Police have appealed for witnesses to either incident to contact them.
