Stormont ministers will launch the next phase in encouraging people in Northern Ireland to use electric cars later.

From Thursday, more than 40 public charge-points will be available in Belfast, Londonderry, Newry, Armagh, Enniskillen and Larne.

Over the next year that number will increase to about 140.

Ministers are also expected to announce that the first 300 people who buy an electric car will get a grant of £1,500 to install a charge point.
