Woman knocked down in hit-and-run in north Belfast

A 36-year-old woman has been knocked down by a car which failed to stop in north Belfast.

It happened on Ballygomartin Road at about 12:15 BST on Friday.

She was taken to hospital suffering from bruising and swelling to her head, and possible fractures to her arm and leg.

Appealing for information, a police spokeswoman said they particularly wanted to talk to the occupants of the silver-coloured Skoda involved.
