South Belfast dog owner fined over attacks

A Belfast woman has been fined £300 and ordered to pay £600 compensation after her dog attacked two children.

The attack happened at Finch Grove, in the south of the city, in August, 2011.

Lynn Kelly was ordered to pay £400 to one of the seven-year-old boys and £200 to the other after they were attacked and injured by her Boxer type dog.

The judge also issued a confinement order for the dog which means it must be muzzled and on a lead at all times when out in public.

It must also be kept properly secured whilst on Ms Kelly's property.

Ms Kelly was also ordered to pay £69 in court costs.
