A security alert at a County Fermanagh airport on Monday is being linked to a similar incident on the same day at an airfield in East Yorkshire.

A suspicious object was found on a small plane registered in England but based at St Angelo in Enniskillen.

Breighton airfield, near Selby, was cordoned off while an army bomb team examined a suspicious object on a light aircraft which had come from Germany.

Police say neither contained explosives and no terrorist link is suspected.

Humberside Police are leading the investigation to discover who was responsible.
