A man has been arrested over an incident in Londonderry last month in which a pipe bomb was left under a car owned a police officer's parents.

The incident happened at Drumleck Drive in the Shantallow area on 15 April.

A number of homes were evacuated while Army bomb experts dealt with the device. The PSNI officer does not live in the house.

Police blamed dissident republicans for the attack, which they said they were treating as attempted murder.
