Boy, 15, left disfigured after attack at bonfire

A 15-year-old boy has been left with a permanent facial disfigurement after being attacked following an 11th night bonfire in Londonderry's outskirts.

Details of the attack, which happened at a site near the disused Desmonds Factory in Drumahoe at about 03:00 BST on 12 July, have just been revealed.

The 15-year-old was punched and kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

When he regained consciousness, he saw four young men, one wearing an Adidas jacket, being pushed back by a man.

Police want to speak to this man.

He is described as being in his 30s, of muscular build, with dark spiky hair and wearing jeans.
