Two women tied up and attacked in Comber bar robbery

Two women have been assaulted and tied up by a gang of men during a robbery at the bar where they work in County Down.

The women, aged 39 and 40, were attacked when three men entered the pub in the Square in Comber after 20:00 BST on Sunday.

The gang ransacked the bar and stole the contents of a safe, the tills, and three gaming machines.

The women were treated in hospital for facial injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or who noticed unusual activity in the area at the time to contact them.
