Man tied up during robbery at Connswater Shopping Centre

A man has been tied up during the theft of a substantial sum of money from a shop at the Connswater Shopping Centre in east Belfast.

At about 19:30 BST on Sunday, a man was confronted by two other men in the centre's car park and forced to return to the shop where he works.

He was made to open a safe and a substantial sum of cash was taken.

The two men tied the employee up before fleeing.

Police said the robbers were dressed in dark clothing and had their faces disguised with scarves.

The employee was left badly shaken but was not injured during the incident.
