Woman's car hijacked in Corporation Street, Belfast

A woman has had her car hijacked at knifepoint in north Belfast.

She was in her car in Corporation Street at about 18:00 BST on Wednesday when a man with a knife approached and ordered her out of the vehicle.

The hijacker then drove off in the car, a Peugeot 207. It was found abandoned at Upper Meadow Street in north Belfast at about 20:55 BST.

The woman was not injured during the incident, but was left badly shaken. Police have appealed for information.
