Ulster Bank apologises to customers

Ulster Bank has apologised to customers who have been reporting problems using bank cards and making electronic transactions on Wednesday evening.

It is understood to be part of a UK wide problem that is also affecting its sister company Natwest.

Last summer, computer faults caused disruption for many Ulster Bank customers for a number of weeks.

The bank has said it is aware of the current problems and will provide more information as soon as it is available.
