Woman is injured in Glengormley house explosion

A woman has been taken to hospital after an explosion at a house in Newtownabbey.

It is understood there was a build-up of gas involving a coal fire in the living room of the house in Harmin Drive, Glengormley, on Friday evening.

The woman was treated for serious burn injuries.

A man and two children who were in the house at the time escaped unhurt.
