£1.23m boost for Barnardo's NI young people's project
Barnardo's NI has been awarded £1.23m to deliver a programme aimed at reducing the risk of young people turning to crime.
The All Stars programme is used in the United States. It is the first time that it has been adopted anywhere else.
The school-based programme will be delivered to 8,000 children and young people aged 9-14 years across Northern Ireland.
Funding for the project has been provided by the Big Lottery Fund.
The Boys' Model School in Belfast is the first class to complete the 14-week programme.
