Appeal after man bundled into van in Bangor

Police have appealed for information about an abduction that happened in north Down last Thursday.

At about 10:00 BST, a 27-year-old man was walking in the Bryansburn Road area of Bangor when a white high top Transit van pulled up beside him.

Two men bundled the man into the van. They were both wearing balaclavas and one was armed with a knife.

The man was let out of the vehicle on the Crawfordsburn Road in Newtownards a while later. He was not injured.

One of the men was described as being about 5ft 10ins tall, of heavy build, with green eyes and was wearing a black puffer jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The other man was also about 5ft 10ins, of heavy build and was wearing a black leather jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.

Police want anyone with information to contact them.
