Glen Lynch acquitted of child sexual abuse

A man has been acquitted of sexually abusing a six-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy over 20 years ago.

Glen Lynch, 33, from Ravelston Avenue in Belfast, had denied carrying out 10 sex assaults on the children in County Londonderry between 1993 and 1994.

The judge instructed the jury at Londonderry Crown Court to find Mr Lynch unanimously not guilty.

It followed submissions by the defence in the absence of the jury.
