Probe into broken glass at Muckamore centre play area

Broken glass has been embedded into the outdoor soft play area at an Antrim community centre.

Council officials reported the incident at Muckamore community centre to police on Friday.

It is believed the glass was inserted into the foam deliberately.

The shards had been removed prior to the report to police. It is understood no children accessed the park while the glass was in place.

Police are investigating and have appealed for information about the incident which they described as "reckless and dangerous".
