Pair arrested in Rathenraw, Antrim, face methedrone charges

Two men arrested in Antrim on Tuesday, after drugs with an estimated street value of £70,000 were found, have been charged with drug trafficking.

Police recovered 3.5kg of methedrone during a search of a house in the Rathenraw estate.

A sawn-off shotgun was also found. The two men are both aged 29 and have also been charged with money laundering.

One was also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances.

The pair are expected to appear in court in Coleraine later.
