Men in court over £618,000 cannabis find in Antrim

Two men have been remanded in custody after being charged with the possession and supply of cannabis worth an estimated £618,000.

The drugs were seized when police stopped two cars in Antrim on Thursday.

Ballymena Magistrates' Court was told the drugs were found in a Chrysler Voyager car driven by Noel Phillip Morrison of Glenmore Walk, Glengormley.

Soon after, officers stopped a second car and arrested Paul Robert Lemon from Seven Mile Straight, Crumlin.

Mr Morrison, 50, and Mr Lemon, a 53-year-old taxi driver, are due to appear back in court next month.
