A 10th person charged with killing a Catholic community worker in County Londonderry has now had manslaughter and attempted murder charges dropped.

Kevin McDaid, 49, died after he was attacked outside his Somerset Drive home in Coleraine in May 2009.

John McGrath of Knock Road, Ballymoney, pleaded guilty to lesser charges at the Crown Court in Belfast on Wednesday.

Only two defendants now face manslaughter and attempted murder charges linked to the case.
