An 18-year-old woman has been assaulted by a man in south Belfast.

The attack happened as the woman was walking along Tates Avenue at about 22:00 BST on Saturday 17 May.

She was approached by a man who attempted to kiss her before punching her in the face, leaving her with an injury.

He ran off in the direction of the Lisburn Road. The attacker was 5ft 7ins tall, athletic, with short black hair and swarthy skin.

He was wearing a white hooded jacket, black jeans and white trainers with red flashes.
