East Belfast robbery: 'Shot fired' in Bloomfield Avenue raid

A shot is believed to have been fired during a robbery in east Belfast on Wednesday night.

Shortly before 20:45 BST, three men wearing balaclavas and armed with a suspected gun entered a newsagent's shop on Bloomfield Avenue.

Two members of staff were threatened during the robbery, but were not injured.

The men fled towards Bately Street and onto Ravenscroft Avenue with money and cigarettes.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
