IT company BRS Golf creating 28 jobs in Belfast

A company that provides IT services to golf clubs is creating 28 jobs in Belfast.

BRS Golf is a Northern Ireland-founded company that was last year sold to the Golf Channel, a subsidiary of the entertainment giant NBC Universal.

The new jobs, which are in IT, customer support, sales and finance, will pay average salaries of £28,000.

Invest NI has offered the firm a grant of £154,000.

Mike McCarley, president of Golf Channel, said: "Belfast will provide BRS Golf with a great opportunity to continue to grow and further develop our best-in-class technology for golf clubs around the world."

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster said Invest NI has worked with the firm for more than a year to encourage it to locate its expansion in Northern Ireland.

BRS Golf currently has 30 staff, having doubled its workforce over the last 15 months.

Twenty-three of the team work in its Belfast office while the remainder work in the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and England.
