Matthew Goddard murder: More time granted to question pair

Police investigating the murder of a man in east Belfast on Christmas Eve have been granted extra time to question two men about his death.

Matthew Goddard, who was 41, was found dead in his house in Chobham Street at about 21:40 GMT on 24 December.

The two men, aged 29 and 35, were arrested on Tuesday 6 January.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man arrested in east Belfast on Wednesday is still being questioned by detectives.

A number of arrests have been made as part of the investigation, but no-one has been charged.
