Belfast: Sun shines on Titanic Maritime Festival

The tall ships made a return visit and the sun shone to celebrate Belfast's Titanic Maritime Festival over the bank holiday weekend.

The event, organised by Belfast City Council, is running from 28 to 30 May in the Titanic Quarter.

There were opportunities to climb aboard the tall ships: the Morgenster, Phoenix, Earl of Pembroke and Kaskelot.

Visitors could also take to the water in a canoe, on a bell boat or, for the more daring, a cable wakeboard!

Other festival highlights include the Titanic pop-up picnic, the soccer village, the dock market at the Arc, face painting, a climbing wall and the opportunity to talk to Navy, RAF and Army career advisers.

A city beach was also set up complete with deck chairs, so that the young and the not so young could get their toes sandy whilst enjoying an ice cream!
